Enduro Africa is 8 days of dusty and demanding riding through some of South Africa's most rugged and isolated terrain – the famous Wild Coast. The event supports 4 charities in the region - UNICEF, Sentebale – The Princes' Fund for Lesotho, the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and Touch Africa.
Considering I first got on a motorbike in August last year and only passed my test last month, I am sure you appreciate that this will be a very big challenge indeed. One of the days on the event will be spent doing charity work at a local school to try to help improve the conditions and environment for the children.
The video below is the highlights film of last years event (you might recognise 1 or 2 people in the video as they are "public figures")
The cost of the event is £4995. Of this at least £1500 goes directly to the charities above. I plan to cover all of this cost myself, but I would also like to try and raise as much extra money as possible. To that end, as much as I hate to ask, I need your sponsorship
I appreciate that times are tough and sponsorship is not a priority in such time, but if you would like to sponsor me (either as an individual or company (logos can be displayed about my person etc) then please let me know. Also if anyone has any fund raising ideas - I'd much rather do something for the money than just ask people for it - then I would love to hear.
More information about the event can be found at the Enduro Africa Website.
